Boomershoot 2010

The pictures below are taken from "shooting bench" height.
The nearest trees are about 380 yards away and is the nearest target area.
The shooting positions are about 15 feet deep. The width depends on which position you select.
The price for one shooting position is $150 for the first shooter, $100 for the second, and $50 for the third.
The snow on the distant hill is from 575 to 700 yards away and approximates the most distant target area.
The main long range event is on Sunday with the Precision Rifle Clinic (signup is separate and limited) on Friday and Saturday.

Participation in "High Intensity" (Saturday and/or Friday evening) is an additional $50 per event and is limited to the first 50 people on each day--who each get a minimum of five targets to shoot at close range.

Spectators

People planning to be spectators sign up for emails about the event by sending an email to spectators-subscribe@boomershoot.org. There is no requirement to sign up in order to be a spectator but it will get them information about last minute changes and weather forecasts when the information becomes available.

Waiting List

There are currently no positions available for the next Boomershoot. If you would like to be notified if a position becomes available send an email to BoomerShoot-subscribe@groups.yahoo.com. That will put you on the Boomershoot announcement list. When a cancellation occurs we will open up the position at http://entry.boomershoot.org/ and then send an email to the list.

Previously we had a waiting list but then when we would inform the next person a position was open they wouldn’t respond or the email address would be dead, etc. After a few days we would go to the next person on the list and after a few days they would tell me something else had come up etc. It would frequently take a week or two to fill an open position.

Shooters and spotters attending Boomershoot are required to memorized the following rules before entering the shooting area:

You will be asked to recite these rules before you receive your badge. Think of this as an I.Q. test. You don't want to look stupid and go home without shooting. Pass the test. You will be expected to follow the rules at all times.
